Virgin Australia partner with The Faculty

Earlier this year, delegates at The Faculty’s 8th Asia-Pacific CPO Forum were treated to a presentation on brand strategy from Michael Scott, General Manager Brand/Strategy & Marketing, Virgin Australia. Two things were clear – firstly, that procurement professionals have an absolutely integral role to play as the safe-keepers of their organisations’ brand and reputation; and secondly, that Virgin Australia is truly world-class in this respect.

The Faculty and Virgin Australia are delighted to announce a 12-month partnership that will see the airline offering its knowledge and expertise to Australia’s leading procurement community, comprised of The Faculty, Procurious and the Roundtable Program.

Every CPO will at some stage grapple with their organisation’s air travel arrangements to ensure their team remains mobile in a cost-effective manner and that productivity is still optimised. Virgin Australia hopes to be able to provide innovative insights to travel spend through the partnership. The airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Judith Crompton, said: “Virgin Australia is pleased to be partnering with The Faculty to champion innovation in procurement. Air travel is a key component of procurement, and we look forward to collaborating with industry leaders through The Faculty.”

The partnership will focus primarily on thought-leadership issues that directly impact CPOs and their teams. Virgin Australia will employ The Faculty’s existing event schedule and growing digital marketing reach to build meaningful touchpoints with procurement professionals across the Asia region.
